Tennessee Opportunity Programs, Inc. TOPS) is a private non-profit agency chartered in 1973 in the State of Tennessee. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.  We receive grants and contracts from a variety of State and federal agencies that allow us to provide an array of services across the state. Free Lesson Plans

TOPS provides quality educational lessons that help students grow and learn English through science, games, math and much more. These are provided at no cost to educators.

Farmworker Housing – Funded by the U.S. Dept of Labor

TOPS assists eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers in obtaining sound affordable housing by providing structured housing counseling, technical assistance to farmworkers in submitting loan applications and assist in the development of single and multi-family homes, weatherization and rehabilitation efforts.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) – Corporation for National Services

RSVP’s mission is two-fold: providing meaningful, invigorating opportunities for older adults and helping nonprofit organizations reach more clients and provide more services. Volunteer activity enhances and extends the services that community-based organizations provide to their client base at food pantries, thrift shops, meals to the needy, adult literacy, and blood drive projects.

WIOA Migrant & Seasonal Farmworker Program – Funded by U.S. Department of Labor

The mission of the NFJP is to assist migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families achieve economic self-sufficiency through job training and through services that address their employment-related needs. WIOA – Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act.

Migrant Education –TN Dept. of Education

TOPS works under the direction of the TN Department of Education to implement the Migrant Education Program in TN. This includes the identification and recruitment of migrant children throughtout the state, maintaining the Migrant Student Network database, and serving students through various programs throughout the year.

21st Century Learning Communities

TOPS has eight 21st Century afterschool program sites in Warren County serving over 450 students K-8. Instructional staff offer homework help, grade level instruction in core subjects, and enrichment opportunities. We have an emphasis on STEM programming.
